MINI's system measures the amount of pressure you apply to the throttle and it regulates air flow. It also controls the amount of valve lift at low speeds and opens them up at high speeds. Providing a driving experience that is as thrilling as it is efficient.
Twin Power Turbo Engines
A MINI wouldn't be a MINI if it didn't pack some serious power under the hood. Luckily, with the 2022 MINI Countryman, you have the option of two different turbocharged engines. They both offer direct fuel injection, which allows for a more precise and controlled fuel delivery and provides more power and efficiency. MINI engineers designed these engines to offer peak torque as low as 1,250 rpm. Meaning you will use less energy which translates into less fuel consumed. The standard engine is a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder with 134 horsepower, and the optional is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder packing 189 horsepower with a 6.2 second 0-100 km/ run. Either way, you look at it; MINI has you covered.
Green Mode
No one ever said they wouldn't mind saving a trip to the gas pumps. Fortunately, with MINI's Green Mode, you are able to do just that. Once activated, the system will optimize throttle response and other features that affect fuel consumption. This Driving Mode will help to ensure you have a more eco-friendly drive anywhere you choose to go.
