Driver Assistant System
This camera-based driver assistant system is always one step ahead. It monitors the road ahead, notifying you of changing driving conditions like new speed limits, approaching pedestrians, and more. At higher speeds, it will prime the brakes in preparation for an emergency stop. You can also activate active cruise control, which helps keep a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front.
Rear-View Camera
The Rear-View Camera comes standard on all new MINIs. The system also features Park Distance Control, and as a combination, they produce a crisp picture of what's going on behind you. The Park Distance Control provides distance guidelines so you can feel confident anytime you're backing up or pulling out of a parking spot.
Variable Valve Timing and Valvetronic

Dynamic Stability Control
The 2022 MINI 5-Door comes equipped with an advanced Dynamic Stability Control, which utilizes the vehicle's brakes and engine deceleration to help prevent over and understeer by either applying brakes or reducing engine speed when needed.
Parallel Parking Assist
Entering a tight parking space can be nerve-racking, but with the 2022 MINI 5 door and its semi-autonomous Parallel Parking Assist, things have just become a lot easier. Once activated, the system will size up parking spaces along your route; once it finds one, it will notify you so that you can prepare to park your vehicle. Then the vehicle takes charge and operates the wheel; all you need to do is control acceleration and breaking.
Invisible Rollover Protection System
If your vehicle ever senses a rollover is imminent, it will deploy a frame-mounted safety bar within a split second. It is designed to protect passengers and is disguised by an elegant black cab within the rear belt outlet.
The MINI Cooper 5-Door comes standard with eight airbags to keep you safe, two front, two side-impact, two ceiling-mounted side-curtain, and two knee airbags. The systems use sensors to adjust the inflation rate, which is dependent on the severity of the collision.
